Tiny Fergie is a purebred yorkie. She is just under a year old and didnt have the best start in life. She was turned over to rescue because she has a bad eye injury and the owners did not want to pay to have it repaired or removed. Had they dealt with it when the injury first occurred, Fergie may have been able to keep her eye but now it needs to be removed.  Fergie also came in extremely thin. She is going to be under 5 lbs at a good healthy weight and is only about 3. 5 lbs now. So, our first job is to get some weight on her as quickly as possible so that she can undergo eye surgery.  After surgery , she will be looking for a forever home.  If you would like to help Fergie, we sure do appreciate  donations . All friends over 6 months have been spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All of our adoptable friends have been vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. We accept cash only for adoption fees unless other arrangements are made.  We have adoptables from Fl to NH. If the dog that you are interested in is not in your state, they can be transported to you for an additional fee. Adoption applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under ADOPT. Please be aware that some of our pictures are intake pix, taken on the day that the dog arrived. We update after they are groomed and as time allows.
