How to Adopt Your New Best Friend

Before y0u Begin Your Adoption Journey:

To express your interest in adopting a cherished pet, we kindly ask you to start by filling out our adoption application. We understand how exciting it is to meet your potential new family member, and we look forward to meeting you. However, to ensure fairness and dedicated attention to each application, these special introductions are scheduled after you have committed to adoption.  Upon approval, you will be promptly notified and given 24 hours to confirm your heartfelt decision to welcome your new furry friend into your home. We deeply appreciate your understanding, as we strive to find the best matches for our beloved puppies, who are eagerly awaiting their forever homes

Step 1: Find Your Match

  • Browse our available puppies to find your perfect match. Each pet's profile lists their location, please apply accordingly.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

  • Ready to take the next step? Complete our adoption application form. Please note, we request a $20 tax-deductible donation with your application to expedite the process.
  • Important: We prioritize the quality of our puppies' future homes over the order of application submissions. To ensure the best match, meet and greets are scheduled only after an application is approved, not before.

Step 3: Application Review

  • Our team diligently reviews each application. This process can take up to 15 business days, as our beloved pets are cared for in foster homes, not a shelter.
  • Adoption fees, detailed in each pet's profile, are due at adoption. Please be prepared to pay via cash or money order only.

Step 4: Approval and Adoption

  • If your application is selected, you'll be notified and have 24 hours to confirm your decision to adopt. It’s a big step, and we want to give our puppies and adopters the best start on their journey together.

Please Note:

  • Pending Applications: A status of "PENDING" means we're currently reviewing applications for that pet. We ask that you do not apply for pets listed as pending to ensure every application is given the attention it deserves.

    Adoption Requirements and Policies

    Home and Environment:

    • For the adoption of our large sporting and working dog breeds, a 6-foot fenced yard is required.
    • It's important to verify any breed or weight restrictions with your Apartment Manager or Homeowners Association, as we will conduct checks to ensure compliance.

    Health and Well-being:

    • All of our puppies and adult dogs are micro-chipped, vaccinated, and treated for fleas, ticks, worms, and parasites. Adopters are expected to continue treatments for worms and parasites, with a recommended follow-up one month post-adoption. Consultation with your veterinarian is advised, especially if you have existing pets at home.
    • Dogs over 9 months and adults have also undergone heartworm testing and neutering. Please note, some dogs or puppies may not be neutered due to certain medical conditions, such as upper respiratory infections or heart murmurs.

    Additional Information

    Transportation Services:

    • We offer transportation services to the northeastern states, excluding Maine, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. An additional fee of $300 is required, covering the cost of a Health Certificate necessary for travel.
