After submitting an Application you will be contacted in 5 to 7 business days, (sometimes longer depending upon how busy we are), with one of the following…
1 DENIAL : This means that we do not feel that you are a good match for one of our dogs. This happens for a variety of reasons. We do not disclose those reasons as we are quite specific in our criteria for our adopters and do not want to encourage a false response.
2 SPECIFIC APPROVAL : You will have 24 hours to respond by email AND phone or text message to the number provided. We have a lot of approved applicants who want to adopt from us. If we do not hear from you within 24 hours, we will move on to the next applicant and you will not be contacted again.
You will be required to place a non-refundable deposit to hold the dog that you are interested in adopting. It is not fair to our other applicants to wait for days to hear back about their application, only to discover that you are not ready, the day before we are scheduled to meet. It is not fair to our dogs, current and future, that are still waiting for a forever family, or the dog that is waiting to come to our foster homes.
3 GENERAL APPROVAL : The dog you are interested in has been adopted. This happens when we receive multiple, approved applications for the same dog. Your application will remain on file for 6 months and you will be able to choose another dog without submitting another application or paying another application fee. YOU must keep a watch on our site and send an email letting us know that you are interested in a puppy and have General Approval.
PLEASE NOTE : Our dogs are in the Southeastern Region of the USA. We ONLY send dogs on transport who have COMMITTED ADOPTERS PRIOR TO TRAVEL! Puppies are young and can be trained with a lot of time and patience. It is too much for them to make a long trip just to meet someone. We are NOT willing to do this. They are always adopted quickly without enduring this type of additional unnecessary stress. If you are interested in meeting dogs locally, please visit your local shelter. Most of our adult dogs are adopted locally because there can be issues that we need to address. WE have been doing this for many years and will not adopt a dog to your family that we would not choose to join our own family. If an issue should arise, we will always take our dog back.
We have many happy adopters, some have adopted multiple dogs from us. Please check our Facebook page and website for any additional information.
Thank you for choosing Rescue!
